Practice Your Swing at the South Germantown Driving Range

Summer is here and for golfing enthusiasts, that means hitting the links. If you’d like to practice your swing before heading out to the fairway, consider making a visit to South Germantown Driving Range. Operated as part of the Montgomery Parks system, this driving range offers plenty of driving stalls (some of which are roofed) and distance markers that run up to 250 years. There’s also a putting green where you can hone your precision and control. Regulars note that this facility is tucked into the rear of the park, near the archery range, which means it’s fairly quiet and doesn’t typically get too busy.

Early bird specials (half-price buckets) are on offer before 9 am every Saturday and Sunday, which is a pretty good incentive to get an early start on your day. Not an early bird? Head down during your lunch hour for the same half-price buckets at high noon.
