January 7th, 2019
Once a month, the Gaithersburg Community Museum transforms into an after hours hot spot for knowledge seekers and fact aficionados. Museum After Hours opens its doors to adults to explore the museum like never before, and have a stimulating conversation about planned topics.
The schedule for 2019 is already planned through April, with subjects like What Happened to the Milky Way? in January and The World War I Experience for African American Soldiers for February. Many of the events feature a tasting by local purveyors like Supreme Core Cider, True Respite Brewing Company, and Dragon Distillery. Museum After Hours is your chance to relax with a drink, learn something knew, and maybe meet a few like-minded museum lovers. Check out the upcoming schedule and an overview of the subject material. Tastings start at 7 p.m., and the discussions start at 7:30 p.m. Be sure to register before attending, and bring your ID if the tasting is alcoholic. Museum After Hours is $10 per person, and is held in the museum’s historic 1953 RDC railcar.
